Founder-led. Building the team.
MajorWave is led by its founder, with a senior leadership team being assembled to match the scale of the platform.
Alexandra Pohl
Alexandra Pohl is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MajorWave, a private self-storage investment and operating platform she established around a single conviction: storage is an operator's asset class, and the performance spread between disciplined revenue management and passive ownership is where the durable returns actually live.
She sets the platform's investment philosophy, leads capital formation, and chairs the Investment Committee that governs every capital commitment across the 29 platform funds spanning the 2026 and 2028 vintages. She also serves as key-person across every fund vehicle.
"We are not generalists chasing fees, and we are not absentee allocators. We operate every business we own, we underwrite through cycles, and we treat every limited-partner relationship as a multi-decade compact."
Prior to founding MajorWave, Alexandra built her career at the intersection of private-markets capital allocation, real estate operations, and institutional platform-building. She is based in Dallas, Texas.
Governance and oversight bodies
The MajorWave governance stack is built around four permanent bodies, each with defined membership, cadence, and authority. Membership rotates on a defined schedule and independent members are refreshed at every fund cycle.
MajorWave Board
Oversight of firm strategy, capital structure, executive compensation, and Board-approved policies including the Code of Ethics and the Risk Appetite Statement. Meets not less than quarterly.
Audit & Risk oversight
Independent oversight of external audit, internal audit, cybersecurity, valuation, and compliance. Committee Chair is the primary reporting line for Internal Audit and the Whistleblower channel. Meets quarterly.
Capital allocation
Chaired by the Chief Executive Officer. Every capital commitment across every fund requires unanimous Investment Committee approval. Meets weekly during active investment periods.
LP oversight per fund
Established at first close of each fund with representation from the fund's anchor limited partners. Reviews conflicts, valuation methodology, and material policy questions on an ongoing basis.
Senior leadership team in formation.
MajorWave is actively recruiting senior leadership across investment, operations, capital markets, compliance, technology, and finance. Search assignments are managed by retained executive-search firms and are conducted with the discretion appropriate to founder-led platforms of scale. Prospective candidates for senior seats may contact the Office of the Chief Executive Officer through Investor Relations.
